The Throne
I dream of love
In my town by the sea
Waves, white sand, walks on the shore
My heart longs for more
Pineapple fields
Sun hats
Tropical drinks
A throne on the sea
One night on the throne sat death
She stood with her hair blowing in the wind, deep in the night
I decided to chase death away
I swam out to break the leg of the throne
To overthrow it destroy it – no more
Tired and out of breath
I leaned against the lead-bound throne
I mistakably toppled it
It stuck in the sea bent.
The morning came down cold and thick
On the throne was only my heartbeat
Death was vanished with the night
Footprints of sand, whisper sights all gone
Fading into the silence of dawn.
I dream of love
In my town by the sea
Of waves and white sand
And walks on the shore my heart longs for more.
